The concept for Niche’s identity concept emerged from three core ideas: the saying “Be square and plumb” which stuck with the owner since childhood; Niche’s uncomplicated approach to complex modern cuisine, in which a precise balance of ingredients and flavors combine to transcend their origins; and the joy of discovery. These ideas are represented in the menu’s unassuming outer shell with stately embossed letters and a plumb-bob-shaped tasting window, and the various artistic compositions which are revealed as the menu is pulled from the sleeve.
Art of the Menu, is a division of UnderConsideration, cataloguing the underrated creativity of menus from around the world.
Art of the Menu uses Typekit to render Proxima Nova by Mark Simonson and Adelle by Type Together.
