Speakers, details, registration, and more are all now live for the 2013 Brand New Conference.
A few things:
1) Early-bird pricing will only be available for one month, ending on June 28.
2) Between speakers, sponsor-reserved tickets, and pre-sale registrants there are already 119 seats taken, less than 400 left.
3) An explanation of this year’s hardcore identity can be found here.
Hope to see many of you there.
And many thanks to our sponsors who signed up for launch: School of Visual Arts - MPS in Branding, Squarespace, Neenah Paper, MailChimp, Monotype, and Hoefler & Frere-Jones.

We just received an extra 35 copies of the 2012 Brand New Conference program — I know some of you missed out on it, so it’s back on the market. Buy buttons below (or after the jump). There is still plenty of posters too, so the same deal as before applies. For more photos and info please see FPO.

For those interested: Please save the date. The 2013 Brand New Conference will take place Friday, September 13, 2013 in New York, NY, at the SVA Theatre.
This year — for hardcore BNConf fans — we are giving you the option to purchase tickets at 25% off the early-bird price.
That’s $225 now for professionals and $115 for students. (Compared to $300/$150 during early-bird and $400/$200 during regular registration periods). The catch is that you don’t know who the speakers are, so you are putting your faith in us that we will come up with a great roster. Pre-sale prices will end around April 2013 when we update the site with the full details. Only applies to event tickets, not webcast.

This is the last post about the 2012 Brand New Conference. Promise.
As we prepare to enter our fourth year of doing the conference in 2013 and it is apparently going to keep going for many more years, we want to know what we can do better, or different, to sway our way the people that chose not to go. We know reasons may vary: timing, price, interest, etc. But we want to make sure we are either not doing something wrong or making sure that whatever we are doing we are doing it more convincingly.
Trolls and haters are invited to comment on any of the other active posts. We want honest, useful feedback, even if it’s negative — but just busting out the hate is completely useless.
There is a quick poll below (or after the jump) with what we feel are the top reasons not to attend. You can contribute just by voting or you can leave a comment.

We have a few copies left of the very nicely designed printed, if I may say so myself, programs and posters of the 2012 Brand New Conference. For those that didn’t attend, don’t think of these as a keepsake of a conference you didn’t go to: the 48-page program is a very generously sized semi-portfolio of eight of the most interesting designers and design firms; and if you like bits and pieces of famous logos, the poster has hundreds of them letterpressed unto the juiciest red paper we could find on Neenah Paper’s inventory. A few images below, along with purchase buttons. More images and full print details and explanation on FPO.

Instead of a straight-up presentation at the upcoming 2012 Brand New Conference, Massimo Vignelli will sit with me for a moderated Q&A session. I already have a range of questions but would love to get some additional ones in there to complement the session, along with any other questions that the audience might have. Leave your suggestions in the comments.
