The old logo would have been perfect for Spaghettiville but, alas, that place does not exist and even if it did, the old logo would not have been good enough. The new logo… is adventurous at best, with a knock-off vibe combination of British Columbia with an unlicensed copy of Ed Interlock. It’s better than before, but that didn’t take much effort and this new logo, while attractive at a glance, is very awkward. Those “T”s! The shorthand version… I get it, it fits in the shape of the state but “Exp”? “Fay”? No. But maybe the locals do call it “Fay”? Maybe, in which case, they should stop, because names that end in -ville are awesome. Like Spaghettiville. Applications are sort of nice. Overall, if this identity did anything, it was to nudge me to Google Fayeteville for a good 10 minutes; looks like a great place, so… mission accomplished, I guess, and joke’s on me.
Thanks to Thom for the tip.
