Opinion

Core77 is an OBG. Original Blog Gangster. Being a blog before blogging was either cool or a viable business venture. They've always had great design sense and their new logo designed by Ken Barber (of House Industries fame) is the latest manifestation of their commitment to design. Somewhere in between blackletter and Roger Excoffon's Choc and Banco lies this bad-ass wordmark with a beautiful and aggressive (in a good way) flow and bounce. Even though Core77's old logo was also cool in its own right, this custom version is truly unique.
