With a product roadmap based on a proprietary audio algorithm, the BoomCloud360 identity had to suggest the science behind the company’s mission to make better sound available to everyone, while at the same time capturing the visceral quality of a better sonic experience. The result was a perfect expression of the brand’s Sound Unbound tagline.

The old logo gets an A for effort in coming up with a wordmark that aligns at key points and has a mirrored start and end but that's as much praise as it gets from me. The new logo is very jarring with today's logo standards: it's very asymmetric — and not just asymmetric but asymmetric in perspective — the icon is huge in relation to the wordmark, and it's, well, loud. But that's what makes it appropriate for the company and product. It definitely feels like a music-related logo. The colorful concentric pattern is quite joyful and works great to liven up the applications, particularly the packaging that looks like it's about to burst. Overall, it ain't no Bose logo or product but that may just be the point.
