WNBA Steps Inline

WNBA Logo, Before and After

Established in 1996 when the NBA Board of Governors approved the concept of a women’s National Basketball Association, the WNBA began play in the summer of 1997 with eight teams and a few well-known stars at the time, like Sheryl Swoopes and Lisa Leslie. Four expansion teams have been added since and although attendance peaked in 1999 — with an average of 10,000 attendees per game — and dropping since, the WNBA is still considered the “most successful women’s professional team sports league in the world.” Last Thursday, the WNBA introduced a new logo and identity designed by New York, NY-based OCD | The Original Champions of Design. From Fiji with Love

Fiji Airways Logo, Before and After

Established in 1951, Air Pacific is the national carrier airline of Fiji with a small but busy fleet of six airplanes covering over 400 flights a week to almost 15 cities in 10 countries around the world. Earlier this year, Air Pacific announced that it would be changing its name to Fiji Airways, the name under which it was originally founded and shortly known as, and this past weekend it unveiled its new logo, featuring an icon designed by local Fijian Masi artist Makereta Matemosi. The renamed airline will officially take over in early 2013 while the livery design, and reportedly the design firm involved, will be revealed on October 10, Fiji Day.

International School Moshi (ISM) Logo, Before and After

Established in 1969, International School Moshi (ISM) is “a boarding and day school on two campuses in Moshi and Arusha in northern Tanzania” and a fully accredited international education for about 400 children from ages 3 to age 19. A new identity was designed by Birstwith, Harrogate UK-based Face. Some application images below (or after the jump) and more here.
