Laura is Creative Director at Bruce Mau Design, a multi-disciplinary studio that brands the mission of organizations shaping the future of their respective industries worldwide. Her team has delivered brand, identity and design work for a diverse set of clients in various industries from consumer electronics to contemporary art. Clients have included Sonos, Asics, Harvard University, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art Beijing, Hirshhorn Museum at the Smithsonian and DC Shoes.
Laura came to design through indie rock — while studying fine art, her band signed to Sub Pop Records where she had the latitude to make everything from videos to posters to packaging. The design drive stayed and the experience made clear the role design plays in motivating and cultivating communities. Years later, she is still passionate about designing for cultures and communities whether they are focused on music, art, skateboarding or sustainability.
Her work has been featured in Designing Brand Identity and Dynamic Identity and recognized by Cannes Lions, D&AD, Core77 among others.
