Through different venues — some in conversation, other in interviews — we have expressed our theory that niche and highly targeted blogs are the ones enjoying the most success, as they hold the assurance that no matter what day of the week you log on, you will get exactly the kind of content you expected to find. Our own Brand New is a perfect example: You know you will get a logo or package redesign or introduction and you will discuss. Plain and simple. One point of focus, endless variations. So we looked at topics that interested us or that we knew enough about and topics that were perhaps under-explored online. We settled on the world of print — what better dichotomy than a web-based blog for print only?
As you can see, from the few sample posts we have already published, we are attempting to bring to the fore the details behind the luscious projects. In other words, adding some meat and veggies to the feasting candy, as part of a nutritious new design blog.
We will scour the web on our own to find interesting projects around the world but we will be the happiest if you alerted us to your new projects by sending us images or links by e-mail or even by dropping your freshly printed piece in the mail so that we can see, first-hand, its printedness.
