Back in June we showcased Travel + Leisure’s call for advertisers for their “World’s Best” issue and now we follow the saga of the “World’s Best” issue with a pretty radical invitation to a party to celebrate the World’s Best Awards. Printed on — an FPO first — wood veneer with silver and white foil stamping, this invitation has some serious invitating power. The finesse of foil stamping gets deliciously messed up against the texture of the wood creating a contemporarily rustic look. And as its designer, Jill Sabato, says “Foil stamping on wood vaneer is awesome!” After seeing the results, it’s hard to disagree.
