A personal project can be personal or impersonal. Nothing wrong with either option, which is nothing more than that: an option. In this case, Jennifer James Wright chose to gift a totem of personal experiences and preferences via the poster she illustrated and designed.
The totem pole was inspired by a recent trip up to Portland, Oregon. It’s made up of a beaver, some Voodoo doughnuts, a huge piece of sushi, an elk, a lumberjack, a rose from Portland’s rose garden and is topped off with a piece of Austin (a spicy breakfast taco) because no region should be without those.
Maybe we should all get on Jennifer’s good side, and a new poster will show up on our doorstep.
