When you chose to combine time consuming printing techniques, along with the fact that you don’t know the information that needs to be printed, a creative process is needed.

When I made the cards I was planning on moving. I wasn’t sure where though, so when my cards would be ready they could have been outdated already (considering the address was still my “old” house). I solved this by not doing the easiest part of the print process on 250 cards. Meaning: I made sure the process for my address was simple/low cost and do-able at a later time. The printing of the clear coat on the other hand (transparent ink which has been pressed: UV spot ink) is the most expensive and time consuming part so what I did was print this coat on all my cards and omit the address information on 250 of them. That way, if I moved, I could still have updated cards relatively quick with my new address on them.

Bending the rules, bending the process and adjusting according to the immediate needs and desires. Not a bad way to roll.
