The Law Foundation of Ontario (established in 1974) is a grant making organization that promotes and enhances justice for all Ontarians—basically donating millions of dollars every year to help improve access to justice.
The challenge was to clearly communicate a great deal of technical information about the Law Foundation of Ontario’s many achievements while maintaining a clear, honest and human voice. The oversized, two color piece was printed on a newsprint-like stock, constantly walking a fine line between understated and impactful.
The team behind the project has a tip for you, should you consider printing your large project on newsprint (or similar):
Although it seems pretty straightforward, the combination of the extremely light paper weight and the oversized dimensions made for a remarkably challenging job to bind. Definitely print a lot of overs to compensate for spoilage in the bindery if you’re running a job of this nature.
