If someone mailed me a silkscreened box, I’d open it no matter what. Even if it had an IRS audit letter in it. I would just have to look. That’s score #1 for MCM’s new self-promotional mailer. #2 is the flow chart, which I am also incapable of resisting. Something about easy Yes or No questions just makes me want to answer them. Finally, the card announces Freedom Fighter Carpy’s visit to San Francisco, which is a cute way to get meetings. A little overboard on the packaging? Maybe. But I would have opened it, and that’s half the battle.

The “Free Your Brand” box is a self-promo mailer from the agency to key prospective clients as a creative new business outreach strategy. Designed to match MCM’s brand standards and personality, the enclosed print piece tells a fast, yet funny story about the challenges and opportunities our clients face every day. The mailing box itself is designed as a teaser of what’s inside — inspiring higher open rates.
