This is the kind of promotional poster that can be savored long after the event has passed. Metamorphosis is a concept anyone can relate to, and the impeccably detailed image is a joy to dissect. However, at the actual graduation ceremony it might have been a little awkward having everyone opening 18-by-22-inch posters to read the program. Then again, what better way to celebrate than with an audience playing a part in the transformation?

Project Description

Based on the theme "Metamorphosis", the announcement is designed to be an egg-shaped sphere, which represents the graduating students, in an olive green envelope. The program of the graduation is placed inside a manila "cocoon". Each guest experiences the transformation as they pull the program out of the envelope to reveal the colorful insect montage and graduation information on a double sided poster.

Production Lesson(s)

Copper is fairly hard to see if the line is too thin. Metallic color works better when it's a thicker line or solid shape. ”
