Project Description

Zeri Crafts is a new Kuwaiti brand that reinterprets the richness of Gulf handicrafts with its home-ware products, defined by high craftsmanship, fine materials and exclusive design.

The name Zeri refers to the fine gold thread that embellishes the region's typical gowns. The identity presents motifs inspired by Saudi Bedouin weaving in new delicate way, as in weaved with gold zeri thread. It is also inspired by mashrabiya carved windows, present in traditional Arabic architecture.

Modularity of the elements is achieved through half-square triangles, used from the Z structure of the mark symbols to the 3 different patterns present in all printed materials.

Production Lesson(s)

The biggest challenge was being able to convey an artisan and natural feeling while communicating the high quality of the brand. We achieved so by printing the stationery on special uncoated paper that prints gold ink exquisitely shinny while still retaining the warmth of a non-coated surface. ”
