Project Description

As a direct marketing agency, we always push to make a big impact right from the start. With this new-business package directed at health care industry professionals, we chose to marry art with tangible facts in a larger than life way. Using a custom-designed corrugated gate-fold mailer (instead of a standard tube), we stressed the opening experience and lasting impression a series of nine fact-based posters would make in industry professional's offices.

When first opened, a personalized letters sits on top of a vellum "fact sheet" that spells out clearly that "Facts Don't Lie" by showing through to the first poster. Several of the posters were printed on colored stock with white and red inks in a combination of dry trapping and overprinting to create a variety of unique pieces of art that would become permanent fixtures in potential client's offices.

Production Lesson(s)

Selecting a vendor that shared in our enthusiasm for the vision of the piece was ultimately what made this so successful. We ran into several unexpected production challenges with the gate-fold boxes as far as mailing restrictions, and instead of saying 'This isn’t going to work' Litho Craft came back to us with a solution every time. They wanted this project to work as much as we did. In addition, working with only one vendor who could provide all the elements for this complicated piece — from production to hand fulfillment and mailing — turned out to be our best ally for this project. ”
