Sometimes passports take so long to process, it seems like someone must be hand cutting and binding them, but Jack & Teanna’s wedding invitation documents are officially the real deal.

Project Description

This piece reflects the look of a passport, but something a little extra. The booklet with the "Italian Phrases on the Go" card enclosed would arrive in mailboxes packaged in a brown bubble mailer with a custom rubber stamp on the front to emulate an actual package from the Postal Service (but with a twist). The front and back cover are Neenah Classic Crest Welsh Blue 100# C and letterpressed with a double hit of Pantone 871 Gold. The cover binding is book glued for extra durability and the booklet is hand-sewn together with matching blue thread for an added craft touch. Inside pages are offset printed onto Neenah Classic Crest Natural White 65# T. Each passport includes a removable "passport photo" of the couple and their dog, and the custom printed RSVP envelope glue dotted to the inside back cover with card enclosed.

Production Lesson(s)

This project took a lot of time to produce between the letterpress printing, the hand cutting, sewing and binding. As with any large project, a reasonable idea of how long it will take for all the individual parts to come together is key.”
