Project Description

Celebrating 30 years of innovation in the print industry, Ace Graphics rebranded with the future in mind. A new identity that represents our dedication to seeking out new ways to deliver the finest printed materials possible. New papers and inks. New processes and ways of thinking. And new print techniques now available to Ace customers. The purpose of the project was to announce Ace's rebrand and promote a new digital press - which focuses on its unique use of inline effects including spot gloss, watermark, dimensional clear, and invisible security ink. The spinner features these techniques applied to all different papers. The true purpose is to inspire creativity, while convey our obsession with quality print. Ace encourages existing and new customers to explore the possibilities as we continue to innovate the way we print.

Production Lesson(s)

The main challenge was in testing, exploring, pushing and learning the limits of our new digital press. We tested sheets through multiple passes, building up techniques. We found out that a few of these techniques give off a different effect on uncoated vs coated papers. It brought us a lot of joy breaking in the new press to produce wild effects. I think we have yet to hit the limits of this machine.”
