Project Description

The Distillery is a letterpress and design studio based in Darlinghurst, Sydney. In November, the studio be holding an inaugural 'Live at the Distillery' event, where they bring together live music and creative design talks. This letterpress-printed vinyl record invitation takes influence from old record collections—psychedelic picture discs, 45's and their amazing patterned sleeves. Letterpress printing, like vinyl are both tactile things and this is a reminder of that.

The record features a two colour half-tone design, letterpress-printed on 600gsm cotton rag. Letterpress impression was focussed on the circular grooves of the record.

A die-cut sleeve was also printed with a red-purple-blue gradient, on 300gsm cotton rag.
