We used the time-consuming designs we created for Moo for a set of Ready Made holiday cards to create our own yearly holiday card and client/sponsor/über-friend gift. Our holiday cards have typically been No. 10-sized so they fit in a simple envelope and are cheap to produce and mail. Being more ambitious this year, we went oversize by printing 26 64-page newspapers where each sheet folded down to a mailable holiday card and then opened back up to a nice, poster-size holiday treat. It was a bit of a mind-bender to figure out the right pagination set-up but nothing that a few mini mock-ups didn’t solve.
For the mug, the thinking was more straightforward, mainly: “Let’s put this on a mug”. Luckily it’s cheaper than I thought and makes for a great gift.
