This project—this is design number two of seven in a seven-day poster series—references introductory verse in Genesis (The Bible) as a commentary on limitless possibilities when creating with Gruppo Cordeons’ paper. The highly detailed design required two foil stamping plates for proper printing. Kevin Cantrell’s lettering work is once again inspiring and humbling.

Project Description

Águas is 2/7 in the ongoing 7 Days poster series. The text is taken from the first few verses in Genesis on the creation, suggesting the infinite possibilities to create using Gruppo Cordenons Paper. Printed in 6 variations of foils and paper.

Production Lesson(s)

The intricate nature of the artwork and thin, precise lines necessitated a division of the artwork into 2 plates. By decreasing the surface area of the plate, it allowed for more control of the foil stamping in ensuring an extremely crisp impression.”
