This limited edition fundraising project was created to subsidize an installation at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Over the course of one year four artists created weekly, topical illustrations, which were then adapted for reproduction with the limited color availability of a Risograph printer, yielding unanticipated but delightful results.

Project Description

Weekly Crop is a year long project featuring the work of: Adrian Forrow, Jim Mezei, Kellen Hatanaka, and Markus Uran. Every week each offers their interpretation of the same topic. 52 weeks, 52 topics, 208 pieces. The Print Pack is a selection from our these pieces thus far, made into four multicoloured Risograph prints. Each pack is part of an edition of 100, meant to bring life to the bare walls of your home. They come in a beautiful package equipped with a thermographic printed belly band. The proceeds from this limited run will support the artists upcoming installation for “If Walls Could Talk”, hosted by the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Available for an incredibly limited time.

Production Lesson(s)

Separating the files for these illustrations that weren't necessarily made for print was an interesting and informative process. Also picking the colours according to what the printer offered was a different way to work. It ended up producing unexpected yet pleasing results. Jesjit at Colour Code was fantastic to work with. He turned everything around in a tight timeline and did a great job.”
