This collection of Christmas present packing components comes from crazy-talented letterer Jeff Rogers, who was looking for a reason to produce an expanded set of paper goods. It turned out the season was the reason and Mr. Rogers developed this collection of wrapping paper, greeting cards, envelopes, postcards, and gift tags to sell on his new online store.

Project Description

I wanted an excuse to make an elaborate set of paper goods using several different types of inexpensive printing methods including newsprint, rubber stamp and silk screen. I just launched a new website and store and also wanted to offer a unique product for the holidays. The result was this hand-stamped kraft mailer full of Christmas cheer, aka. 10 sheets of double sided newsprint wrapping paper, 4 different folded greeting cards with envelopes featuring Christmas carol mashups, 4 different postcards and a pack of 10 hand-stamped gift tags.

Production Lesson(s)

There was several different pieces to this product with many different printers. It was a challenge to figure out how all the pieces would get produced at the minimal cost but as with anything else, the more time you spend on it the better/more effective the result will be. With a big project like this, I ended up stamping everything myself but tried to outsource as much of the assembly and production so that I could focus my time on making the product better.”
