Every year around the holidays Sense sends a gift of an exclusive wrapping paper to clients and friends. Last year the theme was a Halloween twist on Christmas wrapping paper: a Santapocalypse. Electrocuted Christmas characters, devilish elves, military attack turkeys, a series of horror movie villians, and more come rendered in a bad Christmas sweater embroidery pattern. Fiendish fun for the howlidays.

Project Description

Every year Sense create a new design for a wrapping paper to be sent to its clients, partners and collaborators instead of a traditional Christmas card. The theme changes every time and the creative team is given carte blanche to find an original way to express it.

Christmas is a time of joy and of and murderous little elves who want to stab you or blow you up with dynamite …

Well, that's the way the season is depicted on our latest wrapping paper. A design inspired by cosy wool jumper shows scenes of Yuletide gone horrible wrong—a Santapocalypse if you will. There are electrocuted reindeers, a batallion of armed turkeys, flashing Santas, the creepy girl from the Ring movies and more.

Production Lesson(s)

Initially planned on an uncoated more premium stock it turned out that selecting a more basic coated stock suited the project better. All the elements—the plastic see-through envelope, sticker and cheap paper—worked together much better and the piece had better comedy value as a result.”
