Designed to be enjoyed while seated in an Eames chair at the exhibit, this catalog simulates the experience of sitting in an airport waiting for your flight. Printed only in black and white, the stark photos and succulent pull quotes make me want to land a copy of my own.

Project Description

This newspaper piece to was designed to accompany ORD: Documenting the Definitive Modern Airport exhibit which was on view at Harvard Graduate School of Design (2013) and Chicago Architecture Foundation (2009). The piece was made so that when you would sit in the iconic Eames chairs you could take in the exhibition as you would in a airport waiting for your flight. As well as, a take away piece so you could look back and enjoy.

Production Lesson(s)

I found that limiting myself to black and white and having large page sizes of a newsprint to be quite an incredible freedom. ”
