Project Description

Consequence of Innovation is a strategic branding firm that focuses on helping non-profit organizations and creative companies embrace change at different stages by aligning or realigning their brands with who they are today and where they are heading tomorrow. We wanted to guide the audience's attention toward the unique and memorable name and wordmark. The design is composed of the absolute essentials, eliminating any extraneous elements. It is visually minimal, yet feels substantial to the touch. We utilized an oversized logo in a single ink color and imprinted it on large fields of thick, colored stock. The small pocket enclosure secures both the business card and note card so that the pieces package neatly to create one unit when inserted into a mailing envelope.

Production Lesson(s)

One of the elements in the design, a line with two slightly different endpoints represents a key characteristic of Consequence of Innovation's clients' organizations and companies that are going through change. To strengthen this metaphor, it was important that this line register when one flips the card and positions the front of it tangent with the back of another card. We put our trust in the printer to get the registration as close as possible, understanding that the nature of letterpress is not perfect. Finger crossing on our end + expert printing on theirs made for nearly perfect registration.”
