Project Description

How do you make a brand speak to wine lovers and philanthropists alike? That was the challenge presented by micro wine producers, Tom and Mary Bloch. They wanted Bloch Wine to be the catalyst for connecting the art of wine making with the good of giving back. The story of this duality was told simply and elegantly on specially designed and illustrated labels, each bottle representing its own chapter. Purchasers of a case of Bloch Wine received a "giving card"€ in return to designate for their favorite charity. The campaign involved complete branding:€“ logo and identity elements, product design from cork and neck labels to front/back labels, event invitations, and original packaging, culminating in an inventive wine tower that served as both carry package and wine rack display.

Production Lesson(s)

The goal for this piece was to create an innovate wine case that doubled as a wine "tree." This allowed the user to drink the wine in a narrative way. It was a conscious decision to make the packaging something functional and reusable.”
