Project Description

Project Passion is a juried exhibition featuring the self-initiated work of graphic designers.

To generate excitement for Project Passion's call for entry, 100 double-layered posters were created and mailed to select designers and studios. The posters combine the use of screen printing, air brushing, and laser cutting. The clean, structured top blue layer has laser cut letterforms that provide windows into energetic red layer below. The posters can remain united, or separated to live on their own.

Production Lesson(s)

Our biggest challenges was coordinating the number of different layers. Each poster needed laser cutting, a color silk screen pull, air brushing, a silk screen pull for the typography, and then perforation/ binding. Next time, we will look at ways to stream line this process.”
