Project Description

The ON promotion from Neenah is a 10.5-inch tall box full of creative uses of colors, textures, printing and packaging. ON illustrates how paper is an integral part of the larger campaign. The box includes 10 separate printed samples using 11 production techniques and 18 papers. Dielines for all of the printed samples are available for download at neenahpaper.com.

The idea is that paper is always "on". Paper is always there when you're ready to spend some time with it. It's often the first thing you go to before you explore a website. Be it a catalog, direct mail piece, invitation, paper doesn't turn off. We hope that this idea box inspires designers to explore new ways to get creative with colored and textured papers.

Production Lesson(s)

Thinking about how the package will be packaged is something that we didn't think of ahead of time. This is a tool for sales reps to bring to customers. How would they handle them? How would they transport them? The wrap was an idea that came to us after the box was done. It worked out well. It's like a cool shopping bag.”
