Project Description

This book brings together 22 articles from the field of art education to celebrate the 100th anniversary of art education in Finland. Each copy has a unique silk screen cover combining copper and Finnish blue. Published by Aalto ARTS Books in 2015.

Production Lesson(s)

We were searching for a way to create random artifacts with the IRIS method in silkscreen printing. It took a lot of time to learn how the copper and blue would mix together without mixing in together. The trick was to smirch the colors around the printing screen with a piece of cardboard after each sheet of paper.”
