There is a lot of care in the production of this volume, that was quickly apparent when I opened the package with the book a couple days ago. And those gradients are killer!

Project Description

Stolen aims to support a variety of artists, all curated together in a beautiful bi-annual publication.

Volume Five is a bumper issue containing over 150 pages and featuring more than 110 artists from 22 countries across the globe, including Egypt, Japan, Italy, Panama, Slovenia, Netherlands, and Brazil.

In addition to the beautiful analogue artwork, Volume Five now also includes quotes and comments from the artists themselves. Whether they’€™re explaining their work, their process, or discussing their inspirations, we enjoyed their insights and we hope you do too.

At Stolen, we love the tangible and the tactile. Volume Five features a thick board cover, with Jaimee Paul’€™s hand-painted beautiful Sumatran tiger, with a purple foil on the front and back. Like all other editions, Stolen features a signature foiled cloth-covered exposed spine. Each individual unit comes with a foiled slipcase for protection and is part of a limited print run.

Production Lesson(s)

Fine lines for foiling don't always work on cloth. Some of the foil on the spine bled a little as it's hard to get fine patterned foil to stick to cloth.”
