The identity and print system for RISD Senior Week 2012 features graphics inspired by ribbons and doorways. Ribbons are a reference to new beginnings and ribbon-cutting ceremonies, and the doorways—as points of entry and exit—symbolize graduating seniors exiting academia and entering the "real word." The vibrant color scheme and dynamic composition give these pieces extra energy without distracting from the informative content. ]]>

There's something poetic about taking an aggressive lyric from a gritty song, setting it in an elegant script face, and printing it will gold metallic ink. For this particular juxtaposition of class and thrash, Idiot Pull's Tyler Deal successfully experimented with screenprinting metallic ink for the first time. The result could be considered oddly for designers who don't like to deal with the financial side of the business, or just a fun piece to hang on your studio wall—though you might want to keep it out of the conference room where clients could get the wrong idea. ]]>

Chris Halverson took his son's obsession with trains to the next level with these "Grahamtrack" train ticket invites, even going so far as to design a logo for the little tyke. ]]>

Just look at the details of the exemplary, crisp clarity achieved in the letterpress impressions. ]]>

I've seen construction workers make notes and write phone numbers on pieces of leftover materials they picked up around the site. So, perhaps it is a natural extension to design a stamp for printing business cards on leftover wood for a cabinet maker. Hexanine had a delightfully simple concept to promote the 23rd annual Unisource Paper Show in Chicago and AIGA Chicago simultaneously with layered visualizations of unique voices, so naturally the execution had to be tedious and time consuming.
