Besides being downright cool, Carl Crossgrove’s new type family for Monotype, Burlingame, is driven by Monotype’s reasearch into the legibility of vehicle displays and a set of optimum criteria for dashboard display fonts: “large counters and x-heights, simple shapes and a loose spacing of characters.”
