Milla has always won the 'extremely cool' slot over huge in my book.

is this a call for our own top 5 in terms of "coolness" or about what we think about your sense of "cool"?

No, please, let's not go into my sense of coolness. I think MacWorld is cool.

But why don't we do that...

Post your 5 "coolest" websites (design-related)

Design-related or not, there's really only one cool site:

from a usability as well as a 'cool factor' standpoint, i think www.ideo.com is truly the bomb. i often refer to this site as a great reference for how navigation should work, not to mention that the products that their highlighting are exquisite (i wish they would hire me).

Wow, they changed the site! I remember when it was all that blue, which still had good navigation, but this... this is the ultimate in usability, it's too good.

I don't know about cool. It looks like KPT overdosed. It's kind of an eye sore.

Don't mean to be rude or question your taste Hrant, but what do you see in that site? I remember it was posted at Typographica too.

It challenges me.

But it totally is the angulas of the internet.

Excellent analogy. They are a delicacy, but taste like shit.

More:

Snarg is cool in terms of interface (the deep stuff) more than its look (which I still personally admire - btw, it's not really KPT, it's much more Pioneer Plague - you remember that shit?! :-)

Like there was one iteration of it (it changes once in a while) where there was this funky organic thing going on, and it would react when you clicked on it, but would eventually die, totally preventing you access to the rest of the site. I struggled with it over a few days, spending maybe 3 or 4 hours trying to figure it out. You know what the trick was? Don't touch it. It evolved on its own over a couple of minutes, sprouted some flower thingie, and automatically took you to the site. That my friend is special, human.

You must have had it in Mexico (instead of Catalunya).

I guess that means you might enjoy the paella in Texas.

And I love tacos in Texas too. Or a burrito, which is non-existent in Mexico just like good angulas. They're yuchy dude.

I agree, the interface and the way it reacts is pretty brilliant.
