Design a Kite

I will rarely post about design contests, but this one sounds like fun. Smart papers Kite design contest is now open. I mention this contest mainly because it’s something we will never get to do at our regular jobs. Sure, we all design logos, letterhead and brochures, but a kite?.

If your work is selected it will hang in the Smithsonian. No small feat for anyone. Judged by Milton Glaser, Judy Kirpich and Ann Willoughby the winners are sure to be well deserved.

Thanks...i have just come back from kite flying in Rochester this weekend.

I'm going to have to study the mechanics and engineering of it to be able to design it correctly though.

I think they are just looking for the design. Somewhere in the rules it says that the kite doesn't have to actually fly.
