Luba Lukova: War & Peace, Exhibition and Lecture

Internationally recognized Bulgarian-born, New York-based poster artist Luba Lukova will have an exhibition in the Villa Julie College Gallery and will kick-off the show with an opening reception and lecture. For the second year in a row, The AIGA Villa Julie College Student Group and The Arts and Humanities Division at Villa Julie have teamed up with AIGA Baltimore and White Rose Printing to make this event FREE and open to the public.

Luba's work is incredibly powerful, and she is just as insightful personally—though much more soft-spoken.

She's also wonderfully charming and approachable. I've an admitted crush ever since I saw her speak at a conference a few years ago.

It's something about that accent of hers...

I just got back from the exhibition. Quite a magnificent display... a very expressive, and equally impressive, body of work. I'm glad she took time from her schedule to visit Villa Julie!

while Luba was staying at villa julie, as a student i took part in a week long design workshop which she led & id like to say while her work is one of a kind, shes very insightful and i learned alot from her. so with saying that, yes please come see her work. [the double meaning of each poster will open parts of your brain you forgot you had!].
