In February of 2005 we introduced Quipsologies in Speak Up as a way to feature smaller bits of design goodness that didn’t warrant a full exploration. Every Monday, we would group our efforts, organized by author and unleash some quips — hence the name. With the ever-growing pressure to stay current — and in internet time “current” means right now — and no impetus to create one more column on Speak Up, Quipsologies was launched on its own. But in our constant effort to involve our readers and the design community we thought splitting the site in half would be a welcome change from the one-sided onslaught of links provided by most blogs. With approximately 200 quips a month since its January 2007 launch, we feel rather happy about the communal spirit the site has fostered.
