It’s been a few weeks since I last did this and it’s back with a bang. Two superb eye candy pieces sandwich a more conservative piece with work from Russia, Canada, and the USofA.
Gaming Media is a Russian company that specializes in the “development of online projects for a new generation.” One of its main projects is the gaming portal Gamer.ru for which we reviewed its awesome identity, designed by Erohnovich Roma, back in May of 2011. Well, Mr. Erohnovich has done it again. This Twizzler-icious identity has also been designed by him and that GIF above is blowing my mind. If loving an identity just for its visual eye candy is a crime, then lock me up for life. [More].
SHE (Sustainable Health Enterprises)
SHE is a New York-based organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for women and girls in developing countries. Hook & Irons
Established by two firefighters, Hook & Irons celebrates “the traditions and the history of the fire service by highlighting the craftsmanship and the ingenuity of all firefighters since Benjamin Franklin” through awesome t-shirts. Bristol, UK-based Tom Lane, aka Ginger Monkey, helped them create their logo and much of the graphics that adorn the apparel. Sure, it cribs from this vintage lettering style, but if you’ve ever tried to crib it yourself and failed as miserably as I have then you’ll appreciate how good, at least in craftsmanship, this is. Bonus: check the pencil sketches at the More link and try not to be too jealous. Call the fire department, ’cause this Ginger Monkey is on fire. (Sorry.) [More]
