Addison, TX is an incorporated town in Dallas County, Texas and a northern suburb of Dallas. The population was 13,056 at the 2010 census. “Addison perfectly blends the diversity of a big city with the ambiance of a small city. Side-splitting comedy, acclaimed theatre, a museum dedicated to a cosmetics queen and her empire, and one of the largest collections of vintage aircraft in the world. Over 170 restaurants—all within 5 minutes of each other—and a bustling general aviation airport, in case you need to park your plane.”

The city's new, clean look was developed and selected through a 12-month process involving nearly 4,000 people including surveys and focus groups with business leaders, residents and visitors along with the City Council members and employees. Dallas agencies Vivanti Group and Matchbox Studio led the redesign to the current sophisticated blue circular logo it is today. "It All Comes Together" is the city's new tagline, bringing together the old and new, and residents, businesses and visitors alike.
As Addison just celebrated its 60th anniversary, Addison's new logo mirrored the up-and-coming feel the city is experiencing with its new developments, such as Vitruvian Park, and the Village on the Parkway reinvention.

Dude! Of all places/things/companies/etc. to get away with a blue circle with type in it as a logo, the last one I would have placed my bet on would be a tiny Texas town. But here you have it. This is one of those logos that would be so generic except for the fact that everybody thinks it would be so generic that they would never adopt it as their logo so that makes this actually groundbreaking and unique. Meta-sarcasm aside, you have to admit the truck and SUV below don't look half bad.
