We are all connected — bonded by community. The official e is for everyone logo reflects those connections. Inspired by the pattern of our neighborhood streets coming together, the e serves as a reminder that we're all in this together. And, together, we can do anything!

As an official resident of the state of Indiana it is now my duty to support its creative efforts and for a small city — ha! “small”… Evansville is bigger than my town of Bloomington — this is a surprisingly good effort. It’s not perfect but it’s well-reasoned and nicely executed. The “e” is meant to convey the city street grid that may be a little ambitiously represented in the logo — I can picture that grid in lower Manhattan, not so in southwest Indiana — but, again, it’s well done. It also animates convincingly in the video. The commitment to lowercase is somewhat annoying, carrying from the logo to the way they write about their effort and it’s on the extreme end of the case-ing spectrum. Still, once more, decently done all around. Things get corny, though, with the introduction of the concept of an “e” that can be customized to be anything… and nothing good comes out of it. Just a mishmash of crappy sketches, bad Photoshop jobs, and random “e” shapes. To their credit, based on the #eisforeveryone hash tag, people seem to be into it, so who am I to rain on their parade, e, e, e, e, e, e?

Thanks to Brian Pennington for the tip.
