Launched in 2004 as Rock & Gol, the recently renamed Rock FM is, as its name implies, a Spanish radio station devoted to rock music, with 250,000 listeners. The new logo, designed by Madrid, Spain-based Coleman CBX references “[First], the colors associated with this universe: blue jeans, essential item in any rocker’s wardrobe, the red, color of passion, energetic champion of loyalty shown by fans Rock bands, the present black leather jackets in classic style.” And, “The symbolism is based on the wings of the continuing quest for freedom, which is evident in many rock icons like Led Zeppelin, Ramones, and even brands like Harley Davidson.” Application images below (or after the jump) and press release in Spanish here. The logo features a modified version of Revue, famously used by Kinko’s, the office store not any rock group.
