Bagaboo by Laszlo Naske

Lead Image

ASSIGNMENT
For my thesis I decided to redesign the identity of the company Bagaboo, a manufacturer of messenger bags. At first I started to play with the forms and tried to make a visual and typographical gag, but I found that it wasn't tricky enough. So I tried a different approach, one that I was much more satisfied with.

Toronto Transit Commission by Tommy Silver

Lead Image

ASSIGNMENT
This was our major project for 5th semester. We had the choice of doing literally anything. I used to live in Toronto, Canada, and was never a fan of the Toronto Transit Commission's (TTC) design and overall look. I really enjoy the thought processes that go into branding and thought this would be a great challenge, given all the different collateral that goes into a public transport system, especially in a city like Toronto.

As a final assignment we were asked to brand the new Cumulus design event so they had about 17 ideas to choose from. Cumulus Association organizes a design conference each year at a different school in a different country. This year's name was "Borderline — Pushing design over the limit" and was organized by our school. Babycakes by Tine Wahl

Lead Image

ASSIGNMENT
This was a project for the whole semester. I had to choose any company I liked and rebrand their whole system including logo, advertising, applications, and interactive media (iPhone). There needed to be an underlying key insight into the brand that served as the basis for all of our design decisions. We wrote out a creative brief with a target audience, business goal, etc. We also needed to create a user journey that showed how a customer might stumble upon our brand and find our iPhone app/website/etc useful and keep coming back.
