ASSIGNMENTI decided to create a re-packaging of the Alberto VO5 hair care line for my design class. After discussing the idea with my professor, my challenge was to keep the same Alberto VO5 mark, while redesigning the graphics and packaging, to give the line more of an attitude. I was also tasked with designing an entire line for the updated packaging and products for the traditionally shampoo and conditioner only line.

It was to be comprised of a logo, letterhead system, advertisements, museum signage, website, web advertisement, packaging/bags, collateral, and a final display. We were allowed to choose the museum we wanted out of a list of around 15. We had to have all components of a campaign and it had to be relatable to the actual museum.

ASSIGNMENTThis was a project for the whole semester. I had to choose any company I liked and rebrand their whole system including logo, advertising, applications, and interactive media (iPhone). There needed to be an underlying key insight into the brand that served as the basis for all of our design decisions. We wrote out a creative brief with a target audience, business goal, etc. We also needed to create a user journey that showed how a customer might stumble upon our brand and find our iPhone app/website/etc useful and keep coming back.

ASSIGNMENTWe were asked to redesign an existing product/package or to create a new line for an existing brand. I decided to redesign Crayola's Washable Fingerpaints packaging. Crayola's current Fingerpaints packaging is basic and doesn't really add to the brand experience or capitalize on any of the brand equity that Crayola has built over the last 125 years.
