Sol's special area of focus is on digital brand expressions, methodologies and execution strategies. His diverse background in design, technology and brand strategy informs the development and leadership of uniquely collaborative teams that are built to mirror clients' business strategies and rapidly deliver value to key constituencies. As VSA's global engagement lead for IBM and a founding Director of the IBM Marketing Experience Lab, he focuses on new models for digital design and development, cross-organization integration, and the extension of IBM brand values to key moments of client/IBM interface. 

Prior to leading the IBM account, Sol spearheaded strategy and design engagements for a broad range of clients including GE, Motorola, UTC and Goldman Sachs. In late 2006, he led the development of the identity for the Obama '08 campaign.

Sol holds a BA degree from Bowdoin College and a MFA degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Over the course of his career, his work as a designer and a strategist has been recognized by the AR100, the Webby Awards, The International Web Awards, Communication Arts, How Magazine and as a finalist for The Brit Insurance Design of the Year. He has been a featured speaker at events for the AIGA, the American Center for Design, the Art Directors Club and The Society of Marketing Professionals and was a 2009 keynote speaker at the ICOGRADA World Design Congress in Beijing.
