Inside this happy couple’s wedding invite, you will find happy origami swans coupling. This whimsical touch adds color without ink and dimension without extravagant production costs. Paired with ornate typography and an embossed monogram, this invitation is more fly than your average love bird theme.

The couple really liked a wedding invite that I had done previously. So the theme for the card is the same as the card I did previously, which was inspired by a meaningful Chinese adage. The adage meant “two birds flying together with love” - the love birds. For the last wedding card, I had used a feather to represent the meaning of love birds. This time around, I was inspired by Origami. So I chose a swan to represent the love bird and stuck it in the inner page. When one opens the card, the swans pop out beautifully. It was kind of challenging, as a lot of hand work was involved. But it was worth it to see the happy smile on the couple’s faces when they got the card.
