Project Description

The idea behind this, was to design a book based on an architectural structure in sunny Southern California. When approaching the Los Angeles Public Library, I immediately noticed the various types of design elements. But after the tour of the library, it began to all make sense and everything came together. The book is the end result to my findings. The book reads as a whole, as well as on the individual pages.

Production Lesson(s)

Making such a large tiered book was a challenge in itself, however, the hardest thing to was making sure all the pages lined up exactly. I was working with 13-by-19-inch paper, but when the book opens the page it doubles in size, so piecing everything took a lot of time I didn't plan for.”
