Lead Image

For a long time I have questioned the value of paper coasters, often left aside at bars or torn to pieces by anxious hands—I guess that is a good use. Yet these coasters, that provide ample entertainment, catch my attention in their design, content, and especially the small details they managed to silkscreen.

Project Description

For our second annual new year promotion we decided to stick to a set of silkscreened coasters. This year we created a series of fortune teller coasters, which will not only hold your drink, but also give you a fun way to pass the time. Each coaster provides predictions for a different aspect of your life: Love, Happiness, Career and Adventure. Give each one a spin to see what positive prediction is bestowed upon you for the coming year.

Production Lesson(s)

With silkscreen it's important to be mindful of thicks and thins, especially when it comes to type at small sizes. Having a printer to rely on that will both guide you in the right direction and push the boundaries of the process will ensure the best possible outcome.”
