Project Description

Cog Design has created a promotional brochure for the Design Business Association (DBA), posted to each of their member agencies. The brochure comes with a wraparound dust-jacket that opens out to a poster, featuring a list of all DBA members. Each poster is personalised, every list is reordered and shifted in such a way that the recipient's name becomes the show-through message when the poster is folded around the brochure.

Production Lesson(s)

Because each highlighted name needed to be in the same specific position on the poster (while still remaining within the alphabetised list of agencies) the list moves as the personalisation progresses through the alphabet. The complexity of this approach meant that personalisation couldn't be done automatically. Instead each of the 450 posters had to be set up manually. A significant extra investment of time, but one we believe was well spent.”
