Project Description

There are many tricky technical bits and pieces when it comes to print design. I created The Print Handbook to help explain some of those things with real life examples, handy tools, charts and information.

Production Lesson(s)

I discovered what a difference using a stochastic screen has on the end result. Boss Print uses a stochastic screen (or FM screen) for their printing. This uses much smaller dots than normal and they almost completely disappear. All the colours on the colour chart look like spot colours. That was a massive step up in terms of quality.

The Fedrigoni paper was also a massive step up. The matte was smoother, the gloss more glossy and the uncoated had such a great texture. Really happy with the paper.”
