Project Description

Identity and stationery system for Devona, an interactive agency that provides strategy, design, development, deployment, management and reporting for products and brands in a digital space. The products they make are interactive, not because they're websites, mobile apps, banners or social media campaigns, but because they deliver experiences based on the users' input.

The challenge was to create an identity that conveyed the responsive exchange of information. Starting with computer languages associated with interactive development we dug even deeper, landing on binary code. Zeros and ones became the creative foundation for the bespoke typeface created for Devona. Laser cut business cards take a static experience to a new level by presenting an identity the recipient must "interact" with.

Production Lesson(s)

Over 3 weeks we worked closely with our print partner, testing multiple paper stocks in a variety of weights to see what kind of burn would appear on the backside of the business card.”
